The Ministry of Foreign Affairs ((オランダ語:Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken); BuZa) is the Dutch Ministry responsible for foreign relations, diplomacy, European cooperation and international development. Though the Dutch Republic had extensive international relations and diplomatic activity, the present Ministry was created in 1798 as the ''Department of Foreign Affairs'' of the then Batavian Republic and in 1876 became the ''Ministry of Foreign Affairs''. The Ministry is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, currently Bert Koenders. ==Responsibilities== The Ministry is responsible for the foreign policy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
